With the establishment of the National Policy in June 2010, the President affirmed the importance of protecting and restoring our ocean and coastal resources. One of the nine priority objectives proposed in the Interim Report of the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force is the development of a national coastal and marine spatial plan (CMSP). Developing an effective national plan involves coordinating Federal, State, tribal, local authorities, and regional governance structures. Join us to discuss the development of an effective national plan.
