This time of year is the most difficult.  The campus is slugging through the end of the academic year; last minute papers due, professors scheduling make-up classes and extra study sessions; prepping for the frenzy of commencement,  etc.  And in admissions, we have our noses glued to the grindstone (computer monitors actually) as we process and review the final 200 applications while planning for the upcoming year.  Whew!

Of course the weather is not helping matters much.  Almost all of the snow has melted  – into a morass of mud.  The mid-west is sending rain and more rain, which periodically turns to snow – thus the name “swinter”.  That being said, all the rain will bring magnificently beautiful green to our green mountain state in just a few short weeks and this miserable transition period will become just another fleeting memory.
